The direct email is separate from a normal email address. The direct email cannot be used like a normal email, as this email will always send out encrypted messages.

 

Each user will get a unique email with their name and subdomain for Direct Address.

 

Users may want to communicate their new Direct address with their network of providers. Once the practice subdomain is verified and activated, the system will automatically start receiving/sending Direct messages with the newly assigned Direct address.

 

This process enables you to send Direct messages to providers outside of your practice who are also part of the DirectTrust network and also those who are not part of the network provided referring providers have NPI # and email address

 

IT Requirements

There are no IT requirements from your end.  The IT team at iPatientCare will do all of the setup for you, and will take 5-7 minutes of your time to train you on how to use it.

Can I set up a single address for the office? 

It is not possible to set up one address for the entire clinic. It is mandatory that it is set up with the name of the provider so that a specific provider can send out the patient referral to another provider through an encrypted email ID, which is HIPAA compliant.

 

Do we use our normal email addresses?

Can we use the email address as encrypted and unencrypted, or do we each need 2 emails, one encrypted and another for everyday business?
